Cautions/Drug Interactions/Contraindications

Individuals that have autoimmune conditions such as lupus, HIV/AIDS, rheumatoid arthritis, or MS should not take products containing echinacea. There is also some evidence to suggest that allergic symptoms, such as hay fever, may worsen while taking echinacea.
Individuals taking the following medications should see their doctor before taking products containing echinacea:
Chemotherapy ; Methotrexate
Individuals taking the following medications should not take products containing reishi:
Heparin ; Warfarin (Coumadin®)
Individuals taking the following medications should not take products containing garlic:
